Restaurant in Dumfries

Our award winning hotel restaurant caters for those who wish to book a table in our restaurant and also guests of the hotel. In 2015 for the fifth year running Trigony House Hotel were awarded gold medals for our rustic cuisine at the Scottish Hotel Awards, as well as winning “Best Restaurant in South West Scotland” and “Best Breakfast in South-West Scotland”, which is truly something to be experienced.

Our award winning rustic cuisine and informal dining complemented by a range of fine wines, carefully chosen to blend with the food is just one of the reasons many of our customers tell us they return time after time.

guardian_logoeverything on the menu is home-made, from the aromatically irresistible bread to the deliciously combined honey and whisky ice cream.

All our ingredients are sourced locally from Dumfriesshire and slightly further afield but we always try to source our ingredients within Scotland and the highlands depending on the season. All the produce we source is free range & organic whenever possible and many of our suppliers are also small family businesses who care about the produce they farm and sell. From Summer through to Autumn our small walled garden supplies us with fresh vegetables, herbs and fruit and gives our menu a really low “food miles” average.

Allergies, Intolerances and Special Menus
We specialise in catering for all our guests dietary needs, from the furry friends (who we love to have stay) to their human companions with specific dietary requirements. We cater for gluten free, lactose free and dairy free diets as well as vegans, vegetarians and other food preferences on our menus on a daily basis. If you have any special dietary requirements please advise us on booking your table or accommodation and we will ensure your choice of meal is prepared without any fuss.

We  especially enjoy preparing vegetarian cuisine, to see a sample of our vegetarian dishes and our evening menu take a look at our Trigony House Hotel Menu Page.

We have an unfussy and classic approach to food and the dishes we prepare, taking our inspiration from British & Mediterranean peasant dishes as well as using classic Indian & South East Asian influences on our menu. To give new twists on old favourites and unspoiled traditional dishes cooked and served up in a relaxing, informal dining room.

The menu changes with the season’s, and along with the personally chosen wine list we hope it reflects the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the hotel itself.
